Ryan Stewart, Executive Chef

Chef Ryan has 15 years of experience preparing gourmet foods for fine-dining restaurants such as Philander's Restaurant at The Carleton Hotel in Oak Park and Park Avenue Café in Chicago; as well as for a gourmet-to-go market and catering events such as banquets, hotel weddings, and private parties. He's even taught a few cooking classes.

The California-born, Minneapolis-raised chef was introduced to the catering industry as a kid when he helped out in his best friend's dad's business. He started out working the coat check. So when you come into the store, don't be alarmed if he asks for your coat. He's not going to steal it. He's just well-trained. But not just in outerwear . . . Chef Ryan actually received a perfect score on his final cooking exam at the Culinary Institute of America in New York.

Chef Ryan is passionate about food and travel. His journeys through Europe, Asia, and Mexico have inspired the Chicago Prime catering menu and many of the gourmet-to-go dishes. Some of his best memories are of sitting down at a table with a great meal with friends and family. His goal is to help you create some great memories of your own.
